PIG FACTS is a concept containing theme films related to the most current topics within modern pig production.
Credibility is the key to the theme films. You get the information directly from the professionals knowing the farmers’ needs and developing the products for them.

PIG FACTS: Slurry System

Flush manure without water

Fog Agroteknik has developed the special system that allows to flush manure in a pig barn without water. When you pull the plug, the homogeneous manure flush out. The manual system reduces ammonia and hydrogen sulphide. Safe for the environment – easy for the farmer.

Better biogas quality

The Landia GasMix system offers a groundbreaking mixing solution for anaerobic digesters in Water Resource Recovery Facilities. The GasMix system has all its mechanical components located outside the tank, thereby allowing all service and maintenance to be completed without having to empty the tank or enter the sealed digester environment.

BioChop Ensiling system

By-products, such as dead fish, can be converted to fish silage using a BioChop silage system. The silage can be stored and transported and subsequently used for various purposes.

How to handle thick slurry

It is difficult to get the thick slurry out of the pig barn. The task is, therefore, to have the slurry transported out of the stable in a safe and efficient way. With a scraper system from LJM there is also no need to flush the channels with water.

Efficient slurry removal

The Landia pump solution is easy to use. There is no need for a reception tank as the slurry run in a pipe directly into the dry installed Landia pump. The pump increases the vacuum effect, so effectively that all the slurry comes out of the channel.

Slurry Separation

Normally slurry is stored in lagoons. It is an easy solution, but typically after 5 years, the solids will fill up the lagoons and they are very difficult to empty. Therefore, when the farmer wishes to bring the slurry to the fields the slurry has to be dug out and transported to the fields. It takes time and requires that you move the slurry again.

Better maintenance of slurry

the Landia automatic control handling is very easy to handle. All the farmer needs to do is pulling the plug for slurry inside the stables, and the slurry run in a pipe to the reception tank. The reception tank has an installed sensor, which detects the level of slurry in the tank, and when it reaches a preset slurry level the mixer starts automatically.
