Reduced CO2 Emission in pig production

Danish Pig Academy hosted the event for all pig producers where the focus was on reducing CO2 emissions in pig production. It was a well attended event and we are delighted to see so many interested people wanting to learn more about reducing our carbon footprint.

We had some exciting presentations from our experts in the field, and it was really inspiring to hear about the various innovative solutions that are already being implemented.

The representatives during the day were:

  • "CO2 NEUTRAL PIG PRODUCTION ON A LARGE FARM"

Tom Axelgaard, General Secretary of Danish Farmers Abroad, owner of Good Valley Pig Production

Tom is an experienced gentleman with more than 40 years of experience in food, agriculture and green energy - both as founder and CEO. He has shown great abilities for development and scaling of international companies (Goodvalley (DK), Dan-Invest (RU), Danosha, Kalush (UA), Poldanor Prime Food (PL). 11.30 NETWORK WITH REPRESENTATIVES FROM 28 COMPANIES, who are members of the Danish Pig Academy and suppliers for pig production. 12.30 THE FIRST AGRICULTURE WITH A LARGE-SCALE PYROLYSIS PLANT Daniel Overgaard Pedersen Daniel runs Brobak Landbrug in Vraa near Hjørring with pig production on 3500 sows, plant breeding and biogas plant and invests a three-digit million amount in a new pyrolysis plant for energy production and CO2 sequestration.

production and CO2 sequestration.
